A 22-year-old woman has died after she fell from a horse at Cranbourne Racecourse this morning.
It is believed the apprentice jockey was completing trackwork when the incident occurred before 5am.
WorkSafe is investigating.
The fatality brings the number of workplace deaths this year to 16, which is equal to the same time last year.
