APRA releases superannuation statistics for December 2018

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released its Quarterly Superannuation Performance publication and the Quarterly MySuper Statistics report for the December 2018 quarter.

Over the December 2018 quarter, there was a decrease of 3.6 per cent in total superannuation assets, comprising a decrease of 3.9 per cent in APRA-regulated assets, a decrease of 3.1 per cent in self-managed super fund assets, a decrease of 4.4 per cent in exempt public sector superannuation schemes assets and an increase of 0.6 per cent in balance of life office statutory fund assets.
