Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating a home invasion and firearms incident in Gladstone Park on 24 July.
Emergency services were called to Trentham Drive following reports multiple offenders had broken into a house and assaulted the two occupants about 1.25am.
It is believed the male resident confronted the group before the offenders discharged a firearm at him and assaulted him with weapons.
Officers were told the group also threatened a 57-year-old woman with the firearm.
The 60-year-old man sustained serious injuries consistent with a gun shot wound and was transported to hospital.
The woman was not physically injured.
The offenders fled the scene in a white Haval SUV.
They remain outstanding and the investigation remains ongoing.
Investigators believe the incident was targeted.
