On the 12th of January 2019 two armed robberies were committed in the Launceston area. The first occurred at 3.45pm in Invermay at the Invermay Newsagency. The second 15 minutes later at the Pizza Hut at Mowbray, Tasmania Police say.
No persons were injured in either incident. An undisclosed sum of money was stolen.
Police are following a specific line of enquiry in regards to both matters.
Police are requesting that any person who may have witnessed either incident or have information contact Launceston CIB or the information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers.
