Armed robbery at Meridian Plains, QLD

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Meridian Plains overnight have released CCTV images and footage of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries, Queensland Police say.

Shortly before 8pm a man entered the business on Mayes Avenue and produced a conducted energy weapon before demanding a female staff member hand over cash from the till.

The staff member compiled with the man’s demands before he stole the wallet from one of two customers inside at the time.

He then fled the business on foot.

The female staff member and two customers were not physically injured during the robbery.

The armed man is described as Caucasian, with a tanned complexion, proportionate build, blue eyes and a black ink tattoo on the top of his left hand.

He was last seen wearing a black long hoodie with white emblem on the left side of his chest and white writing down the right arm sleeve.

Investigations are continuing.
