Armed robbery at North Adelaide Post Office , SA

Police are searching for a man who robbed the North Adelaide Post Office this afternoon at knifepoint, according to SA Police.

At 4.20pm, the man (pictured) allegedly armed with a kitchen knife, threatened staff at the post office on Tynte Street demanding cash.

He fled on foot in an easterly direction on Tynte Street towards O'Connell Street, with a small amount of money in bag.

The suspect who was captured on post office security cameras is described as, Caucasian between 35-40-years-old, with short dark brown hair, wearing a white-t-shirt with a polo short, blue shorts and carrying a Woolworths shopping bag.

Anyone with information on the robbery or the identity of the male suspect is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
