Armed robbery at Oakleigh South shopping centre

Eastern Region Crime Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a supermarket in Warrigal Road, Oakleigh South on Wednesday 5 October, Victoria Police say.

Four men entered the Links Shopping Complex around 8.25pm and three made their way to the supermarket cash register area whilst the fourth went to the service counter.

Three of the men were armed with knives and threatened staff members at the registers, demanding cash.

The offenders then stole cigarettes from the service counter before leaving the complex through the south west entrance.

The men are believed to have left the scene in a vehicle.

All of the offenders had their identity disguised, however witnesses have described them as dark skinned and in their 20s.
