Armed robbery at Slacks Creek, QLD

A 53-year-old man was robbed at Slacks Creek on Wednesday morning, March 14, after withdrawing cash from an ATM, Queensland Police say.

Around 6.40am the man accessed an ATM located inside a service station situated at the intersection of Meakin and Paradise roads.

The man returned to his vehicle and as he entered his car an unknown man asked for a lift and jumped into the front passenger seat.

As the car entered Paradise Road the male passenger produced a syringe, threatening the driver and demanding cash.

The victim handed over a sum of cash with the offender exiting the vehicle near the intersection with Brooks Street.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist them with their investigations.

The man was wearing shorts and thongs, with a blue hooded jumper that was tied up under his chin, and with a backpack underneath his hoodie.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man, or have an CCTV or dashcam vision to contact them (contact details below).

Police believe the man initially approached the service station on Paradise Road, walking away from Kington Road.

No one was physically injured and investigations by Logan detectives are continuing.
