Armed robbery - Beverly Hills, NSW

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a supermarket in Sydney’s south tonight, NSW Police say.

About 8am today, two men armed with a tree branch entered the store on Tooronga Terrace, Beverly Hills, and confronted the store attendant.

The 19-year-old man was assaulted with the branch and his parents were also hit when they came to his aid.

The two men escaped with a sum of cash.

Police have established a crime scene and are currently canvassing the local area.

The 19-year-old man and his parents were treated for minor injuries at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Police would now like to speak to two men described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance aged in their mid 20s. At the time of the incident they had their faces covered and were wearing sunglasses.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
