Three teenagers have been charged following investigations into an alleged violent robbery on the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday night, Queensland Police say.
Around 10.40pm, two 16-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy were walking on Horton Parade at Maroochydore when they were confronted by a group of teenagers.
It will be alleged the trio were threatened with a knife before one of the 16-year-olds were punched in the face and throat.
The group left after allegedly stealing a backpack and a mobile phone.
Police have charged a 17-year-old man, a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of attempted robbery.
The 17-year-old is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
