Armed robbery charges in Booval, QLD

Police have charged a person following the investigation of an alleged robbery of a Booval Hotel on April 17, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged a man entered the Brisbane Road business around 8.20pm and threatened a staff member with a rifle demanding money.

Staff have complied and handed the man a sum of cash and he then fled the scene and was last seen on foot running along nearby railway tracks.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

On May 24 police charged a 17-year-old North Ipswich boy with one count each of armed robbery and assault.
