Armed robbery charges in Carindale, QLD

Police have charged two people following the alleged armed robbery of two men in Carindale overnight., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged at 1.25am three people were on Scrub Road when a car has approached them. A man has got out of the vehicle and approached a 19-year-old man demanding his wallet. The man complied and the other man left in the car.

The vehicle returned a short time later and the man kicked an 18-year-old man in the head demanding his phone. He complied and the man left again in the vehicle.

Police were notified and attended the scene. The victim was able to track his phone on GPS and officers located and intercepted the car nearby without incident. A woman was driving the vehicle and a man in the passenger seat.

A 27-year-old Jimboomba man and a 37-year-old Edens Landing woman have both been charged with one count each of robbery with violence, robbery, receiving tainted property, unlawful possession of weapon (knife) and possession of property used for drug offence.

They are expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 11.
