Armed robbery charges in Logan Central, QLD

A man has been charged following an alleged robbery that occurred in Logan Central overnight, Queensland Police say.

Officers were called to a service station on Wembley Road shortly after 11.30pm following reports that a man had robbed the store.

It will be alleged that a man entered the business and produced a screw driver before making threats to the attendant.

Police will further allege that the man then damaged a glass door before fleeing the scene with a quantity of food including chocolates, lollies and pies.

A man was taken into custody by police a short time later.

A 22-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of wilful damage.

He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
