Armed robbery charges, West End in , QLD

Police have charged two men following investigations of four separate armed robberies that occurred last night in West End, Brisbane., Queensland Police say

At around 7pm, a 31-year-old man was approaching the intersection of Montague Road and Mollison Street when he was allegedly stopped by two men threatening him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone, which he refused and walked away.

At around 7:15pm, a 22-year-old man was waiting at a bus stop on Montague Road when he was allegedly approached by two men who threatened the man with a knife and demanded his mobile phone. He has complied and then fled towards Victoria Street.

At around 7:30pm, a 34-year-old man was walking along Montague Road when he was allegedly approached by two men who threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone. He has complied and fled.

At around 8pm, a 44-year-old man was at the intersection of Montague Road and Harriet Street when two men allegedly approached him who threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone. He has complied and fled.

Police attended a residence on Montague Road and located two men who were taken into custody and subsequently charged.

A 22-year-old Capalaba man and a 20-year-old West End man have both been charged with three counts each of armed robbery and one count each of attempted armed robbery.

Both men are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
