Armed robbery in Beenleigh, QLD

Logan detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Beenleigh service station last night.

Around 9.10pm a man armed with a hammer entered the Logan River Road business and threatened a 19-year-old male employee before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The man, who is described as having an olive complexion and around 180cm tall with a proportionate build, was last seen running west along Logan River Road towards Holmview.

He was wearing a yellow hooded jumper with a red balaclava or scarf covering his face, a white shirt, black track pants and white joggers, and had a black bag slung diagonally across his body.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man, or has any CCTV footage or dashcam vision, to contact them.

No one was injured and police investigations are continuing.
