Armed robbery in Kingston, QLD

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Kingston this afternoon.

Around 4.50pm, a man was driving a pizza delivery vehicle to a nearby address on Gaznia Street in Kingston when he was flagged down by a man on the street.

The man then opened the passenger side door and made demands for cash while alluding to the fact that he may have been armed with a knife.

The driver complied and gave the man cash, and then the man got into the driver seat and drove the car around 400 meters down the road before it is believed he fled on foot with a sum of cash.

The driver was not physically injured as a result the vehicle was not damaged.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
