Armed robbery in Logan Central, QLD

A 24-year-old man has been charged following an alleged armed robbery at a convenience store in Logan Central this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged at 3.25pm, a man armed with a knife entered the Ewing Road grocery shop, threatened a female employee and demanded cash.

It will be further alleged he left the store on foot with a sum of money.

A male staff member followed the man, and apprehended him until police arrived.

A 24-year-old Marsden man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with armed robbery, possessing a knife and authority required to possess explosives.
