Armed robbery in South Brisbane, QLD

Police are investigating after a man and woman were robbed in South Brisbane early this morning., Queensland Police say

Around 2.20am, a 44-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were walking along Manning Street when they were approached from behind by two males.

The 44-year-old man was punched to the side of the face, and his wallet and mobile phone were taken. The woman was pushed to the ground, and her handbag was stolen.

The two males have then fled the scene on foot along Manning Street towards Boundary Street.

The 44-year-old man and 33-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
