Armed robbery in Surfers Paradise, QLD

Three males have been charged after the alleged armed robbery of two 17-year-old men in Surfers Paradise overnight, Queensland Police say.

Around 9.30pm the two men were walking along Peninsular Drive when they were approached by three males.

One of the males allegedly produced a knife and made demands for property.

The offenders obtained items before fleeing the scene.

Police located the offenders a short time later in the Surfers Paradise area.

Two Parkwood men, aged 17 and 18 years, have been charged with two counts of robbery in company whilst armed.

The 17-year-old man is due to face Southport Court on December 7, 2016 while the 18-year-old man is due to face Southport Court on December 8, 2016.

A 16-year old boy from Pacific Pines has also been charged with the same offences and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
