Armed robbery in Sutherland

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the robbery of a service station in Sydney’s south overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 10.30pm today, a man, armed with a knife, entered a service station on East Parade, Sutherland, and demanded money.

An employee, a 19-year-old man, was forced to hand over cash before the man fled the store.

Officers from Sutherland Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone who may have information that could assist.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
