Armed robbery in Waterford West, QLD

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a take away store in Waterford West this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

At around 12.30pm a man entered the shop on Chambers Flat Road, approached the counter and produced a knife.

He demanded money from the female attendant and she complied, handing over a sum of cash.

The man then fled the scene on foot along Tamarind Street.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a heavy build, around 185-190cm tall, aged in his mid to late 20s with blonde hair and was wearing a black hooded jumper and black shorts.
