Armed robbery – Musgrave Hill

Police are searching for a number of men after a security guard was robbed while leaving a bowls club at Musgrave Hill earlier this morning, Queensland Police say.

Around 8.40am the security guard was driving his unmarked vehicle out of the driveway of a bowls club onto Kumbari Avenue when he was rammed by a stolen Lexus vehicle.

A number of men wearing balaclavas, one armed with a firearm approached the vehicle and made demands for money.

The security guard handed over takings and the men fled the scene in a second vehicle, a stolen black Jeep, leaving behind the Lexus at the scene of the collision.

The Jeep was located a short time later by police in Walter Street.

The security guard sustained a minor head injury as a result of the collision.

Investigations are ongoing.
