Armed robbery - South Hurstville, NSW

Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at South Hurstville yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 5.30pm (Thursday 29 March 2018), a man with his face covered and wearing gloves entered a pharmacy on King Georges Road near Tavistock Road.

The man produced a small axe and demanded drugs from two pharmacy workers who complied with the demand.

The man left and was last seen running down Tavistock Road before getting into an older model white 4WD.

Police from St George Police Area Command were contacted and established a crime scene.

Officers would like to speak with a man who is described as being aged between 20 to 30 with a solid build.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and light-coloured jogging shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact St George police or Crime Stoppers.
