Armed robbery, UUMV in , QLD

Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Yeronga last night, Queensland Police say.

At around 10:40pm five men parked a stolen, orange 2008, Ford Falcon
(Queensland Registration 881 TRW) before entering the store on Fairfield Road wearing black hoodies with torn clothing covering their face and at least three men armed with knives.

One of the men demanded the female employee to hand over money from two cash registers before threatening her with a knife when asked to open the store’s safe.

She complied with the first request however, she was unable to open the safe.

The group fled the store with a sum of cash, tobacco products along with the woman’s mobile phone and keys to her vehicle, a gold 2000, Nissan Maxima
(Queensland Registration 660 MER).

The 40-year-old woman did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident.

The men are described as African in appearance, tall and skinny.

They were all wearing dark clothing including hooded jumpers and black gloves on their hands.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen either vehicle or witnessed the incident to contact Policelink or Crimestoppers.
