A teenager has been arrested after an expensive car was stolen from a Burnside house, according to SA Police.
Police will allege that in the early hours of Sunday 12 November, a Mercedes sedan was stolen during a break-in at the victim’s house.
The car was later involved in a hit-run collision with another car.
Police recovered the Mercedes after it had been abandoned close to the scene of the crash.
Further investigation led police to arrest a 16-year-old Walkerville boy yesterday afternoon. He was charged with numerous offences including serious criminal trespass, illegal use of a motor vehicle and theft.
He was refused bail.
Police would like to remind the public that as summer and warmer weather approaches that they ensure their houses and vehicles are safe at night, and that doors and windows are locked and secured.
