Arrest after cannabis and cash seized, SA

Police have seized a large amount of cannabis and cash after a search in the northern suburbs today, according to SA Police.

It is alleged that about 10am on Thursday 19 July, police searched a house in North Adelaide and located 34 kilograms of dried cannabis, and six cannabis plants growing hydroponically.

Another house in Medindie Gardens was searched and over $40,000 cash was found.

A 39-year-old Medindie Gardens man was arrested at the North Adelaide house and was charged with possessing a large commercial quantity of cannabis, cultivating cannabis for supply, possess prescribed equipment, theft of electricity and unlawful possession.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
