Arrest after truck theft at Clearview, SA

A man has been arrested after he allegedly tried to steal a milk truck at Clearview, according to SA Police.

Just before 1am, police were called to Kelly Lane after reports that two men had stolen a Fuso truck and were about to drive away.

Patrols arrived, and the two men jumped out of the truck and ran off.

One man was arrested at the scene, and the other ran away from the area and is yet to be located. The truck has been returned to its owner.

A 22-year-old Broadview man was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession, possess prohibited weapon and going equipped, after knuckle dusters and lock picks were found in his possession.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 18 May.
