The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 35-year-old male following reports Kava was being sold by an individual in the Galiwinku community.
Around 8:35am this morning, Galiwinku members conducted a search of an address under the Kava Management Act.
A 35-year-old male was located at the address in possession of a commercial quantity of Kava and was arrested.
Close to 14kg of Kava was seized as well as $13,300 in cash.
He was charged with Possess commercial quantity of Kava and remanded to appear on Monday 22 June 2026.
