A man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing of another man in the Illawarra region, NSW Police say.
Just before 6am on Friday 4 May 2018, emergency services were called to Denison Street, Wollongong, after reports of a fight.
A 39-year-old man was found seriously injured and taken to Wollongong Hospital, however he died.
About 2.30pm today (Tuesday 8 May 2018), a 52-year-old man attended Wollongong Police Station where he was arrested.
No further information is available at this stage.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
