Arrest of driver from fatal collision that occurred in Launceston on Friday 7th September 2018, TAS

On Friday 18th January 2019, at the conclusion of the police investigation and at the direction of the Director of Public Prosecutions, a police officer from Northern Crash Investigation Services and officers from Northern Roads and Public Order Services have arrested a 22 year old male from Blessington. The arrest was made in relation to a collision that occurred at the intersections of Wellington and Frederick Streets, Launceston at 1.54am on Friday 7th September 2018 that resulted in the tragic death of a 48 year old Trevallyn man, Adrian David TUDOR, Tasmania Police say.

The 22 year old Blessington male was charged with Manslaughter, Causing Grievous Bodily Harm by Dangerous Driving, Failing to Stop at a Crash and Disqualified Driving.  He is to appear in the Launceston CPS at a later date.
