Arrests at Parafield Gardens, South Australia

A man has been arrested overnight after he allegedly drove at police before ramming a police car.

Just after 10.30pm on Sunday 13 January, police attended a house in the northern suburbs in relation to other matters. On arrival, the man was seen in a BMW sedan in the driveway.

As police approached the BMW, he reversed towards them and struck the passenger side of the unmarked police car. The driver then crashed into the veranda of the house.

A 24-year-old from Elizabeth East, was arrested and charged with two counts of acts to endanger life.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 29-year-old from Nailsworth was charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the robbery which occurred in Pulteney Street yesterday morning.

Both men have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Investigations are continuing.
