Arrests following Bendigo area burglaries

The Bendigo burglary and theft team have arrested three people in relation to a spate of burglaries in the Bendigo area this month, Victoria Police say.

On Saturday 2 September there were eight incidents in Long Gully and Eaglehawk including burglaries, thefts of three vehicles and a motorcycle.

A search warrant was executed at a Thomas Street property in Bendigo on Sunday morning, two women were arrested and a large amount of allegedly stolen property was seized.

A 29-year-old woman was charged with handle stolen goods and remanded to appear in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court today.

A second 29-year-old woman was charged with drug related offences and bailed to appear in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on 4 December.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences including burglary and theft and will be remanded to appear in Bendigo Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Police continue to investigate the possibility of a fourth offender that may be involved.
