Arrests Made in Alice Springs Over Stolen Vehicle

The Dog Operations Unit have arrested two youths after a stolen vehicle was driven dangerously in Alice Springs earlier this morning.

At 8am, a stolen Toyota Hilux was observed driving dangerously North of Alice Springs on the Stuart Highway. Tyre Deflation Devices were deployed; however, they were unsuccessful.

At 10am, 4 youths abandoned the vehicle in Eastside. Patrol Dog Huey was deployed, and two males, aged 12 and 13, were arrested shortly later. Both remain in custody and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Investigations remain ongoing, with Strike Force Viper working to identify the remaining offenders.
