Arrests over computer store break-in, SA

Two men have been charged over a break-in and theft of computers from a Smithfield Plains store, according to SA Police.

After hours on Sunday 15 January, two offenders smashed their way into the computer store on Anderson Walk, Smithfield Plains and stole thousands of dollars worth of laptops.

Yesterday, police from Elizabeth Tactical Team searched a property at Greenwith and allegedly located one of the stolen laptops.

Police then attended and searched an Elizabeth Vale home and found three more stolen laptops.

A 30-year-old Elizabeth Vale man was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and refused police bail. He is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

A 33-year-old Elizabeth Vale man was arrested and charged with theft by receiving. He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.

As a result of these arrests and further investigation by Elizabeth Tactical Team members, a search was conducted at an Elizabeth North address, where a stolen boat, trailer, truck and other items were recovered.

The fishing boat, trailer and truck were stolen from a Lewiston farm on Sunday 15 January.

Two men, aged 23 and 39, both from Elizabeth North, were arrested and charged with theft by receiving and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
