Arson investigation continues in Maroubra

Police have released an image of two men, who may be able to assist with inquiries, following a fire at a commercial premise in Maroubra earlier this year, NSW Police say.

About 2am (17 May 2016), emergency services were called to a shop on Anzac Parade, near Maroubra Road, following reports of an explosion.

On arrival officers located the premises well alight. A number of people residing above the store had to be evacuated.

Strike Force Sorbello, comprises of detectives from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command, are investigating the incident and would like to speak with anyone who may have information that can assist.

They would particularly like to speak to the men depicted in the image.

They are described as being males, wearing dark coloured hooded jumpers and tracksuit pants.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
