ART MONTH Sapphire Coast program launched: Bega Valley

Bega Valley Regional Gallery is excited to launch the ART MONTH Sapphire Coast program, with more than 60 spectacular and engaging events taking place across the month of August.

"We are fortunate to have so many talented artists, craftspeople and performers in the Bega Valley, offering studio and gallery tours, choirs and musicians, foodie trails, short films, book readings, dance classes, guided historic walks and other events and exhibitions," Gallery Director, Iain Dawson said.

"While the event is still a month away, we remain optimistic we will be able to welcome visitors to our region to share the excitement and talent, art and hospitality we have to offer.

"With such a varied and broad program, we are sure there is an exhibition or event that will appeal to everyone during ART MONTH Sapphire Coast.

"In the meantime, we will continue to monitor and follow advice given by NSW Health for the safety of our participants and audiences."

Some of the major events include:

  • The MOTEL Art Fair – a Friday evening celebration and Saturday Art Fair taking place in the Norfolk Pine Motel in Merimbula on 30 and 31 July.
  • Far South Film Festival – three days of short films from regional Australia, online and at the Picture Show Man in Merimbula from 20 to 22 August.
  • Open Studio Art Trail – discover the artists and creative spaces along the Tathra-Bermagui Road on 7 and 8 August.
