ARTC to re-open rail line at Inverleigh

ARTC

The Melbourne-Adelaide rail line, closed due to the derailment at Inverleigh last Monday, will re-open tonight at 7.00pm.

ARTC has worked with our dedicated team of contractors around the clock over the last week to clear the track and restore the rail line to full service.

The repair work included replacing ballast, rail, and concrete sleepers, and culvert works.

ARTC rail recovery experts and contractors have worked tirelessly to re-open the line and allow the nation's east-west freight and passenger rail services to recommence in the busy pre-Christmas period.

ARTC thanks our customers and the local community for their patience and understanding during this challenging time.

ARTC has worked as quickly and efficiently as possible to limit local disruptions and thanks the community for their patience.

Increased rail traffic is expected in the area over the coming days and residents are advised to take care at local level crossings.
