Artist residencies available: Port Adelaide Enfield

Post Office Projects (POP) are excited to announce Deep Dive Residencies a new initiative for local artists living in Port Adelaide Enfield.

There are three artist-in-residence opportunities for visual artists living in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield area.

Each recipient will receive access to the POP Project Studio for a period of three weeks, during which time they will take a deep dive into their artistic practice. Applications are open now and close on Wednesday 14th July 2021. Residency periods available are September, October, November and December 2021 and January February 2022.

Artists will receive a fee of $600 to support their time in the studio, and a materials allowance of $200. At the conclusion of each residency, Deep Dive Residency Co-ordinator Karen Tate and POP Director Eleanor Scicchitano will work with the artist-in-residence to host a professional development showing/artist talk or pop-up exhibition, with artists and curators invited to hear from the resident, and to engage with the work they have been undertaking during their time in the studio.

The Deep Dive Residency partnership supports the visionary artistic and cultural development contribution that Post Office Projects makes to Port Adelaide and supports the objectives of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield (PAE) Arts and Culture Strategy and Action Plan 2020-2025 as a part of the City Plan 2030 framework.

'This is an exciting opportunity for local artists to explore their artistic practice while gaining experience within a safe environment and in addition attaining feedback from their peers and the community', says Karen Tate.

Artists are invited to apply via the POP website, for full details and selection criteria see the EOI callout information:
