Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a residence in Chelsea on 27 January.
Investigators believe the offenders gained entry to the Camp Street house sometime between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.
During the burglary the offenders stole personal items including jewellery, ornaments, medication and a family members ashes.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
