Ashurst LLP, Luxembourg branch, advised ESG-AM Fund, an investment company with variable capital qualifying as a UCITS on the establishment of its new sub-fund, ESG-AM FUND – ESG-AM Climate Transition Bond Fund. The new sub-fund is designed to support companies credibly committed to the shift towards a lower-carbon economy.
This launch not only strengthens ESG-AM AG's commitment to climate-focused investment strategies but also highlights Luxembourg's positioning as a leading hub for sustainable finance and regulated fund structures.
The Ashurst investment funds team advising on this project was led by Partner Antonios Nezeritis, assisted by Counsel Marc Hirtz and Associate Thécla Madonna.
Antonios Nezeritis commented:
"We are thrilled to have supported ESG-AM AG on the creation of this ambitious and forward-looking strategy. The Climate Transition Bond Fund exemplifies the growing investor demand for funds with strong environmental credentials and impact-driven objectives. We are proud to have contributed to bringing this Article 9 UCITS fund to market and are grateful for the trust ESG-AM AG has placed in us."
Philipp Good, Chief Executive Officer, and Marco Tognarini, Chief Operating Officer of ESG-AM AG, commented:
"With Ashurst we chose a very reliable and professional partner for that important project, which was a further milestone for ESG-AM AG. With the team's deep knowledge of the regulatory framework and understanding of our needs, it was a perfect match. With the additional sub-fund we further expanded our product platform and strengthen our commitment to our clients to deliver financial and sustainable performance."
