Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Plans, and Capabilities Dr. Mara Karlin met with NATO Allies and partners during her visit to Brussels to discuss integrated deterrence. Dr. Karlin reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to combining strengths and working seamlessly across warfighting domains with our Allies and partners to deter aggression across the spectrum of conflict. The leaders condemned Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine and discussed collective efforts to support the Ukrainian military. They also reviewed the important decisions announced at NATO's recent Madrid summit and the implications for the Alliance's long-term force posture and planning in Europe.
