Attempt fraud, skimming device located in Nowra

Police are appealing for information following an attempted fraud at a financial institution in Nowra over the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 8.20am (22 April 2017) a 51-year-old man attended a financial institution on Kinghorne Street, Nowra and made a withdrawal from an automated teller machine (ATM)

After closer examination, the man noticed the automated teller machine had what appeared to be a skimming device attached to it.

Shortly after, the man attended Nowra Police Station and reported the incident.

Officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command have commenced investigations.

As investigations continue, officers are appealing for assistance from the public, urging anyone with information to contact police via Crime Stoppers.
