Police are investigating an attempt robbery at a Prospect hotel a short time ago.
Just before 8.30pm on Sunday 18 July, patrols were called to the licenced premises on the corner of Churchill Road and Prospect Road after reports two men entered the gaming room and demanded cash before fleeing empty handed. One of the suspects was believed armed with a weapon and both had their faces partially covered. Thankfully staff and customers were not physically injured.
Police attended and searched the area but have not been able to locate the suspects at this time. The investigation is ongoing and police are investigating if there are links to the robbery earlier tonight at Windsor Gardens.
