Attempted armed robbery at Morayfield, QLD

Police are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a restaurant at Morayfield last night, Queensland Police say.

Just before 9pm a man entered the business on Morayfield Road and demanded money from the 47-year-old female store attendant.

Another employee, a 61-year-old man, confronted the man who then produced what appeared to be a firearm and continued to make demands.

The male employee grabbed a broom stick and attempted to hit the man before chasing him out of the premises.

The man fled the scene on a bicycle travelling northbound up Morayfield Road.

Police have released images (below) of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries and are also appealing for anyone who may have been dashcam footage from the vicinity of Morayfield Road and William Berry Drive at the time of the incident to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.
