Attempted armed robbery in Windaroo, QLD

Detectives are investigating following an attempted armed robbery at a service station in Windaroo early this morning., Queensland Police say

Just before 4am a man entered the business on Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road carrying a rifle.

The man demanded cash from a 21-year-old male attendant who refused and hid from the armed man.

The armed man then fled the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident and no property or cash was stolen.

Police conducted patrols of the area but were unable to locate the man.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall and of a slim build.

Investigations are ongoing.
