Attempted burglary and wounding in Kelso, QLD

A boy and a man have been charged following investigations into an attempted burglary and wounding in Kelso early Saturday morning, Queensland Police say.

At 4.05am, two males allegedly tried to gain entry to a locked residence on Pompeii Street however were disturbed by the 44-year-old male occupant.

A physical altercation occurred whereby the 44-year-old male was stabbed in the wrist and also in the chest.

The man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Townsville Hospital for treatment.

A 19-year-old Heatley man has been charged with grievous bodily harm, and two counts of attempted enter dwelling and enter premises and commit indictable offence. He will to appear at the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow, November 13.

A 16-year-old Vincent boy has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, and unrelated charges of two counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence, and one count each of attempted enter premises to commit an indictable offence and stealing.
