Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an attempted burglary in Chadstone on 16 December 2017, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told an unknown offender attempted to force entry to a garage of a newly constructed, unoccupied unit on Stapley Crescent about 6.15am.
The want to be burglar failed to break into the garage and left the scene empty-handed.
The offender was wearing a blue Adidas t-shirt, green shorts and black Nike runners.
Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
