Manningham Crime Investigation Unit are investigating following an attempted burglary at a property in Templestowe last month, Victoria Police say.
On 14 February, two men attended a display property on Foote Street just after 1.30am.
One of the men was carrying a sledge hammer and he used it to disable a CCTV camera.
The men then attempted to gain access to the building, however were unsuccessful and left.
The man carrying the sledgehammer is described as having a thin build and at the time of the incident he was wearing a hooded jumper, shorts, runners and a cap.
The second man is described as having a large build and has a beard.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a hooded jumper, shorts and thongs.
On 20 February the second man returned to the property about 1.30pm.
A person at the property recognised the man as it appeared he was wearing the same clothing he had on during the first incident.
The person took a photo of the man as he left the property.
Police have released images of two men they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.
