Attempted murder at Rosewood

A teenager is in custody following a wounding in Rosewood overnight.

Around 10.30pm, emergency services were called to a Normanton Close address following reports of a wounding, where upon arrival police located a 39-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl who both had numerous stab wounds to the abdomen.

A 16-year-old-boy, who resides at the address with both females, was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Both victims were transported to hospital in critical condition.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations into the circumstances of the incident are continuing.
