Attempted Robbery Appeal At Warwick

Detectives from the Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist them with their investigation into an attempted robbery at an underground carpark in Warwick on 17 July.

Around 2.45pm a woman was walking to her vehicle on Palmerin Street when she was approached by an unknown male.

It is alleged the man assaulted her while attempting to steal her car keys.

The woman managed to get into her vehicle and drove to a nearby police station for assistance.

The 24-year-old woman was transported to the Warwick Hospital with injuries to her face and head.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with a medium build and was wearing dark blue jeans, a blue or green shirt, black jacket and white shoes with black stripes.

Police appealing to anyone who witnesses the incident or who has any relevant dash cam footage to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Investigations are ongoing.
